Saint Seiya Name Generator

[author]

Sacred armor, shining constellations, and young warriors who fight for gods and justice – that’s the heart of a Saint Seiya–style story. Every Saint carries two big things: their constellation and their name. Together, those two pieces tell you how they fight, what they protect, and what kind of legend they might become.

The Saint Seiya Name Generator helps you build those kinds of names in seconds. With one click, you can get names for Bronze Saints, Silver warriors, Gold elites, and even mysterious villains wearing dark constellations.

What Makes a Great Saint Seiya Name?

A strong Saint Seiya–style name usually includes:

  • A heroic, memorable given name
  • A clear link to a constellation or mythic armor
  • Sometimes an epic title or epithet that shows their power

This generator mixes all these elements.

1. Heroic given names with mythic flavor

First, you need a name that feels like a young warrior or knight of the cosmos. The generator includes many heroic-sounding names that lean slightly towards Greek or mythic-sounding fantasy without copying canon characters:

  • Aelios, Kassian, Lycandros, Therion, Orpheon, Dorian, Helion, Zephiros
  • Selene, Aurelia, Elara, Kallia, Lysandra, Nymera, Thalia, Meliora

You can use these as:

  • the true names of Bronze Saints,
  • aliases for mysterious Gold Saints,
  • or real-world names for reincarnated heroes.

Examples:

  • Aelios – bright, sun-like Saint.
  • Kassian – calm, strategic fighter.
  • Lycandros – wolf-like, night warrior.
  • Selene – moon-themed Saint linked to night and dreams.

2. Constellations and armors that define their path

In this style of story, a constellation almost works like a class and a destiny at once. The generator uses many well-known and lesser-known constellations:

  • Pegasus, Dragon, Phoenix, Cygnus, Andromeda, Lyra, Orion, Draco, Aquila, Hydra
  • Leo, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces
  • plus others like Crater, Corvus, Lupus, Centaurus, Pavo, Crux, Cassiopeia, Perseus, Hercules, Auriga

The generator combines these with given names in several ways:

  • Aelios of Pegasus – a classic protagonist-style Saint.
  • Selene of Andromeda – a chain, shield, or protection-focused Saint.
  • Kassian of Draco – dragon-armored, disciplined warrior.
  • Lysandra of Lyra – music- or sound-themed Saint.

It also generates names like:

  • Dragon Saint Kassian
  • Phoenix Saint Helion
  • Libra Saint Nymera

These look perfect in a character intro or on a roster of Saints aligned to each constellation.

3. Epic epithets that show power and legend

To capture the dramatic feel of Saint Seiya, the generator adds epic epithets and titles that sound like techniques, legends, or reputations:

  • Burning Comet, Crimson Lion, Silver Phoenix, Silent Gale
  • Heavenly Fist, Starlit Flame, Frozen Blossom, Golden Aegis
  • Eternal Wave, Thunder Wyvern, Shadow Crown, Sacred Spear
  • Storm Halo, Radiant Arrow, Midnight Star, Blazing Fang
  • Celestial Dragon, Soaring Pegasus, Luminous Hydra, Falling Meteor
  • Eclipse Shield, Aurora Strike, Nebula Sword, Solar Spear, Starborn Roar, Moonlit Tide, Comet Halo

Names like:

  • Aurelia the Frozen Blossom – graceful but lethal Saint of ice.
  • Tyrios the Blazing Fang – aggressive close-combat fighter.
  • Helion the Burning Comet – unstoppable charge type Saint.
  • Nymera the Shadow Crown – dark, strategist-style character.

The generator also creates longer combinations like:

  • Kassian of Orion, the Thunder Wyvern
  • Selene of Hydra, the Moonlit Tide
  • Zephiros of Pegasus, the Storm Halo

These feel like full legendary titles.

4. Short names for side characters and attacks

Not every name has to be long and dramatic. The generator also includes 30,000 short names (3–8 letters) that work well as:

  • minor Saints,
  • side characters in the Sanctuary,
  • technique names,
  • or quick nicknames.

You can take a short name and attach your own armor, for example:

  • Short name: “Mareus”
    • Mareus of Crux
    • Crux Saint Mareus
    • Technique: “Mareus Spiral Cross”

Short names also feel good in shouted attack names.

How to Use the Saint Seiya Name Generator

You can use this generator for:

  • Saint Seiya–inspired fan characters (OCs)
  • tabletop campaigns with Zodiac knights
  • original manga/light novel projects about constellation warriors
  • game or gacha-style rosters based on mythic armors

Step 1 – Generate six names at a time

Press “Generate Saint Seiya Names” and the generator shows six names at once. You’ll usually see a mix of:

  • Given of Constellation
  • Constellation Saint Given
  • Given the Epithet
  • Saint of Constellation
  • and longer versions like Given of Constellation, the Epithet

Examples:

  • Aelios of Pegasus
  • Dragon Saint Kassian
  • Selene the Frozen Blossom
  • Saint of Scorpio
  • Tyrios of Orion, the Burning Comet
  • Lysandra of Hydra, the Moonlit Tide

Scan the list and see which one instantly gives you a picture in your mind.

Step 2 – Match the name to armor and personality

Think about:

  • Armor / constellation – speed (Pegasus), defense (Libra), fire (Phoenix), water (Aquarius), etc.
  • Position – Bronze up-and-comer, Silver specialist, Gold elite.
  • Personality – hot-blooded, calm, noble, proud, tragic.

Then choose names that fit:

  • Young, fiery protagonist type
    • Aelios of Pegasus, the Burning Comet
    • Tyrios of Sagittarius, the Radiant Arrow
  • Cold or calm warrior
    • Selene of Aquarius, the Frozen Blossom
    • Dorian of Libra, the Eclipse Shield
  • Dark rival or anti-hero
    • Kyrion of Scorpio, the Shadow Crown
    • Zephiros of Draco, the Midnight Star

Keep rolling until you find a name that matches the role you need.

Step 3 – Click again for teams and full rosters

If none of the six are perfect, click the button again. There are 100,000 unique names in the dataset, so you have more than enough for:

  • all 12 Gold Saints,
  • multiple generations of Bronze Saints,
  • dark mirror knights,
  • and allied constellations from other regions.

You can build full squads like:

  • Pegasus, Dragon, Phoenix, Andromeda, Cygnus as a classic team.
  • or a full Zodiac set for your own Sanctuary.

Step 4 – Click a name to copy it

When you find a good one:

  • Click the name card.
  • The name is copied to your clipboard.
  • The button briefly changes to “Copied!” to confirm it worked.

Then paste the name into:

  • character sheets,
  • OC profiles,
  • campaign notes,
  • or art prompts.

Tips for Creating Saint Seiya–Style Characters

You can go a bit further by using the generated names as building blocks.

1. Use constellations to define powers

Once the generator gives you a name, you can assign powers by constellation:

  • Pegasus – speed, meteor-style punches, reckless charge.
  • Dragon – defense, tough armor, strong counterattacks.
  • Phoenix – fire, rebirth, immortality themes.
  • Andromeda – chains, protection, sacrifice.
  • Cygnus – ice, cold wind, distance attacks.
  • Leo / Aries / Sagittarius – fire and light themes.
  • Aquarius / Pisces – water and ice control.

So “Aelios of Leo, the Golden Aegis” might be:

  • a proud fire Saint who protects others with radiant shields.

2. Turn epithets into signature techniques

Take the epithet and turn it into attacks:

  • “Burning Comet”Comet Rush, Twin Comet Crash
  • “Frozen Blossom”Blossom Snow Storm
  • “Heavenly Fist”Heavenly Fist Barrage
  • “Thunder Wyvern”Wyvern Thunder Crush

For example:

  • Character: Kyrion of Orion, the Thunder Wyvern
    • Technique: “Orion Thunder Wyvern Strike”.

3. Create ranks through name length

You can use structure to show rank:

  • Bronze Saints – usually just Given of Constellation
    • Aelios of Pegasus
  • Silver SaintsConstellation Saint Given or Given the Epithet
    • Hydra Saint Selian, Selene the Silent Gale
  • Gold Saints / legendary figures – long titles
    • Helion of Sagittarius, the Radiant Arrow
    • Nymera of Libra, the Eclipse Shield

The generator gives all three types; you simply assign the rank.

4. Build teams around a theme

Form teams based on:

  • Elements – fire (Leo, Sagittarius, Phoenix), ice/water (Cygnus, Aquarius, Hydra).
  • Weapons – spear (Sacred Spear, Solar Spear), shield (Golden Aegis, Eclipse Shield), blades (Nebula Sword, Galactic Edge).
  • Sky events – Comets, Meteors, Eclipses, Auroras.

You might create:

  • “Comet Team” – Saints whose names include Burning Comet, Comet Halo, Falling Meteor.
  • “Eclipse Guard” – Saints with Eclipse Shield, Shadow Crown, Midnight Star.

The generator will keep handing you matching titles to support these ideas.
