How It All Began
My name is Christian, I live in Denmark, and I’ve been a gamer for as long as I can remember. I started around five or six years old, when my uncle and older brother introduced me to Heroes of Might and Magic 3. From there, I dove into RuneScape, then World of Warcraft, Counter-Strike, League of Legends — and I’ve bounced back and forth between these games ever since.
All of these games had a competitive side. Whether it was PvP leaderboards, raid rankings, or even just showing up in a group, there was always that feeling of pride when you saw your name. That’s really what fueled me: the idea that your chosen name represents you in the world, makes you recognizable, and even motivates you to keep playing.
The First Name I Ever Chose
The very first name I created was in RuneScape. Back then, I was about ten years old. I’d always loved dragons because of Heroes of Might and Magic 3. My favorite town was the dungeon, with its legendary black dragons.
One stormy day, I thought of the words dragon and lightning. In Danish, that became “daglund.” And so my first gamer tag was born: Dragon Lightning (or Dragelyn). That name stuck with me for years. I spent thousands of hours on that RuneScape account, and even in elementary school, people started calling me by that name. It almost became a second identity, which is pretty funny to think about now that I’m 25.
From Snakes to Nicknames
Around the same time, I asked my parents if I could have a pet snake. They said yes — and of course, I had to name it. I chose Boggy (B-O-G-G-Y). I think it came from me playing around with the word “bug” (like a computer bug), and I just added the “-y” because I liked how it sounded.
That little “-y” at the end of names stuck with me, and it shaped the way I started creating future gamer tags.
The Influence of Name Generators
Then I discovered Fantasy name generators. This was a game-changer. You’d click a button, and a random name would appear, drawn from some huge curated list. Suddenly, there was this endless stream of inspiration, and I fell in love with experimenting with new combinations.
I really liked mixing Z’s and Y’s. Part of that came from my older brother, who used the name Zarox in RuneScape — and I thought that was the coolest thing ever. So I blended that style with my “Boggy” era, and eventually came up with names like:

These names became my identity across games like League of Legends and RuneScape. If you dig into scoreboards or old realm logs, you might even find me there. I’ve spent thousands upon thousands of hours playing under those names.
Why Names Matter
For me, names are more than just words on a screen. They’re tied to memories, achievements, and friendships. They follow you across time — from online leaderboards to school email addresses, and sometimes even into real life, when people start calling you by your gamer tag.
That’s why I think names are so powerful. They define you, they stick with you, and they tell a story about who you are at different points in your life.

This has been a little journey through my naming history — from Dragon Lightning to Boggy, to Zeety and Szezy. Each one represents a chapter of my life as a gamer, and they all started with that feeling of wanting a name that was uniquely mine.
